President's Message

The strength and value of RMSI-Energy Services (RMSI-ES) can be measured by how effectively the entire team, both management and employees, worked together to meet the challenges in 2009. The result - RMSI-ES secured a major long-term joint venture agreement with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, one of the worlds largest oil producers. In December, 2004, RMSI-ES entered into product sales contracts that will ship Bonny Light Crude to ports in the Eastern Mediterranean, the US Gulf and China. RMSI-ES has taken steps to become the world's largest independent, non-governmental supplier of BLCO.

Record Results

1994 represents the first year operations in Nigeria, and our second full year as an integrated company. It is a year where our team remained focused on our core business and once again posted many new performance records.

  • Established high level relationships with two A-Class international banks.
  • Established relationships with two international shipping companies.
  • Established relationships with multiple internationally known marine insurance carriers.
  • Negotiated a long-term Joint Venture relationship with NNPC.
  • Negotiated multiple 2-10 M bbl/mo BLCO sale contracts.

Transportation Costs

Reducing transportation costs continues to be one of our most important priorities. We are reducing our reliance on intermediary shipping companies and are engaged in securing our own fleet of crude tankers. Shipping continues to be a high percent of gross income, but will be reduced as we bring our own tanker fleet online. We remain cautiously optimistic that we will be able to meet our objective of bringing Shipping and Insurance costs to a 50% level currently incurred.

Upstream Operations

RMSI-ES production target for 2009 is targeted at 120M BBL to be shipped. This will be accomplished through the continued efforts of our JV partner NNPC and their in-country production JV partners, Shell, Chevron/Texaco, and Exxon/Mobil as well as multiple independent producers in the Bonny River basin of Nigeria.

RMSI-ES also holds mineral rights to large tracts in the US Southwest and Central America. It is RMSI-ES' plan to begin upstream development of these resources in the 4th quarter of 2009. .

Downstream Operations

RMSI-ES does not operate refineries, but strives to sell product directly to the end-user refiner. RMSI-ES maintains a strategic relationship with Offshore Ports, LLC., a producer of floating platforms for oil exploration, storage and other commercial use requiring a secured floating environment.

RMSI-ES is actively involved in moving forward with several projects involving this unique product.
